Our Dodge City Care Team Leaders
Heather Nelson
Director of Nursing
Hi, I'm Heather Nelson, the Nursing Director and Operator at Reflection Living in Dodge City, Kansas. As a Registered Nurse of 12 years, I have specialized not only as a Surgical Nurse but also a Long Term Care Nurse, in addition to 9+ years as a Long Term Care CNA/CMA. I have been a resident of Western Kansas nearly all of my life: being born in Dodge City, attending High School in Elkhart, obtaining my Nursing Degree from Colby Community College, working as a new RN in Scott City, then returning to Dodge City in 2017 after a 3 year stent in Texas working as a Neurosurgical Nurse. I am newly married to my husband, Dennis Nelson, another long time Dodge City Resident and have 5 children between the two of us: Nick, Ashley, Aaron, Gemma and Paityn. The Nelson family are generally known for their love of sports in the community and most of our spare time is spent traveling throughout Kansas to Softball Tournaments. Our youngest daughters are discovering a passion for dancing and have enjoyed being “Little Sisters” to our Miss Kansas and Miss Kansas Teen friends and contestants, learning about public speaking, community service initiatives and the importance of volunteering in our community! I am excited to join the Reflection Community and provide exceptional care to the residents in our houses!
Marlene De La Torre
Business Manager
Hello, my name is Marlene. I’m the Business Manager at Reflection Living in Dodge City, KS.
I was born and raised in Dodge City and have lived here all of my life. I have 4 kids who were all born and raised here, too. I've enjoyed watching my kids grow up in the same town and go to the same schools and places I did as a child. In my spare time I enjoy playing soccer and attending my eldest son's soccer games. Dodge City has been near and dear to my heart as all of my family lives here. My family runs a big soccer organization named Toros FC for all age groups. The adult division made history recently and took 3rd Place in the nation for Dodge. We take pride in being from our small town and are thankful for the support our community has given the sport.
I started working for Reflection Living in April of 2024 and I’ve enjoyed working with an amazing group of professionals. Our RN's, CNA's and CMA's truly enjoy caring for our residents as their own family, and that is one of my favorite things about our facilities.
